Travel: The 2012 Brighton Pride Day - United Colours of Pride

Last month when i was all excited about my parents coming over for a week, we went to the Brighton Pride Day on 01.09.2012. It was quite a special experience for my parents and I. Dad and mum were so suprised about how proud the gays are in the UK, not that we do not support it, but we came from Malaysia which is quite a conservative country. Too bad the weather was a lil chilly, and a lil rain, but overall the experience was great. I just love how the people get involved and dress up!

Life: Woot 5 days! Getting all excited!

MY PARENTS ARE COMING IN 5 DAYS TIME!!

Yeah, many of you might think what so excited about this, for me, it mean alot, like ALOT alot. The last time I met my parents was last year's September, when they come to attend my convocation. Time flies it is already a year since and I miss them so much!

My parents will be arriving on the 31st August at London Heathrow, I am going to the airport to pick them up, and we are going HOLIDAY!! Wooohoo~

Here is my plan:

Day1-4 (31st August - 3rd September) - We are driving to Brighton straight away after collecting the rented car from Eurocar, we will then simply buy some food from Asda in Brighton and cook at the holiday home stay for dinner. Gonna stay in or maybe have a walk by the sea but this first day is mainly to rest. Then the second day we are going to rock the pride party! I've bought the advance tickets and I can't wait to bring my parents around and show them the English culture! Well, they will get to see man kissing man, woman kissing woman, something that you can't really see in Malaysia (Malaysia's a muslim country that gay are not permitted/accepted). Day three we're just gonna hang around by the Marina and the high street and some locaal attractions, nothing much but then that is the point, we want to have a nice and slow holiday. My boyfriend is coming to join us on day three and we are going to one of the Foam party closing at night! Can't wait this is the first time i go to a foam party, no kidding! Day 4 will be boring we will need to leave Brighton and drive back to Shrewsbury.

Day5-7 (4th - 6th September) - We are going to Chester after one night rest at home. Could not manage to book the hotel later so this is the only choice, but not too bad as Chester is only one hour away from Shrewsbury. We are going to visit the local attractions and also going to the Cheshire Oak Deparmental Outlet for some shoppinng.

Day 8-11 (7th-10th September) - Well, I don't really know what to do with these days yet, we are planning to just rest at home, buy some food to cook, definitely going to the Birmingham seafood wholesale market to buy some fresh seafood and cook them, we love it! Still deciding whether to go London or not, London cost so much!

Day 12 (11th September) - Saying bye bye to my parents! Why are they leaving so soon? Cause they have a tight schedule! I am so gonna cry this day. I cried last year when they leave. ='(

Day13-15 - I am still off from work! huhu~

Day16 - On no! Time to face the reality, have to get my ass back to work and earn money for the holiday spent! >,<

Does this plans sounds interesting? You may think its boring, but this is how my family and I prefer as a holiday. I am sure my parents will have their best time here. Just cant wait to see them! 5 days!!

Dad and mum, September 2011

Craft: received my jewellery making tool today. :D

I have recently fall in love in doing DIY. Well, not exactly recently, i've always love craft since i was a child, just recently moved from knitting to doing some small jewelleries.

I've been looking for a set of good tool pliers for some time, finally found this set on ebay and bid them down at £5 for whole set. Postage cost £2.50. It is still cheaper as the seller provide buy it now option, which one set cost at £10!

I will be start doing jewellery with this set of pliers. Will be posting them here when its done! ;)

Hi everyone,

I've wanted to start this blog quite some time ago, just couldn't make myself to do so until now. I'm just a normal girl who is currently living in Shrewsbury, UK. Here's a little bit about myself: I came from Malaysia, finished my study majoring in Hospitality and Food Management. I love eating, traveling, photographing, DIY crafting, and sleeping?(if that counts).
